We’re blessed to teach. Meet Ms. Sajona. |
My response to Alex led to this reflection: That I became a better teacher when I became a mom. Which lead to another realization: That I am a better mom because of my learning from my students. (Don’t get me wrong, I am not comparing myself to other moms and teachers here… and I will never do that because we are all uniquely great!)
Being a mom and at the same time a teacher taught me…
To be more caring, gentle and patient
To never assume to know it all
To appreciate the “little things”
To give
And to love…
More.
Sure, I have my days…. and every time I stumble, I pray. When my children (my own and my students) are grown, I hope that they get to enjoy the bounty, the harvest they are cultivating with me when we’re at home, in the classroom, or in my every opportunity to teach them. I earnestly pray to be able to touch lives.
It has been 7 wonderful years of teaching, and learning. And I wholeheartedly thank You.
Congratulations! A salute teachers, and kudos to you!
