NINOY AQUINO PARKS AND WILDLIFE NATURE CENTER (NAPWNC), Quezon City
If you wish to showcase “biodiversity” to your kids, go ahead, take them to Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center. DENR claims around 3,000 species of trees that thrive in the country are found in the park, this includes some that are already endemic. Aside from enjoying the lush trees in the place, kids will also love to see the caged raptors (the ones previously housed in the Makiling Botanical Gardens, Laguna). The place also boasts of a lagoon, picnic grounds and a wildlife rescue center for the endangered or threatened wildlife species.
Have an early morning tour with your kids right in the heart of Manila. Explore Intramuros, also known as the Walled City. Take the opportunity to give a brief background of the place to your kids in this historical tour. Drop by at the Intramuros Visitors Center by the entrance to Fort Santiago before you start the walking tour. Kids will be amazed to see the old canyons, buses and other memorabilia displayed there. The place has a beautiful landscape, too. Kyle had his first historical tour in Intramuros when he was two years old.
MANILA OCEAN PARK, Pasay
Take your kids to this giant underwater playground in the Philippines. Home to thousand of aquatic animals, Manila Ocean Park is the country’s first world class themed resort. Kids will surely be amazed to have a live encounter with the water creatures such as as the Gray Bamboo Shark and the Giant Guitarfish that can be found there. And if you would like to spend the night at the resort, staying at the Aqua rooms of Hotel H2O is going to be a great experience for the kids.

CLUB MANILA EAST, Taytay
For a fun swimming experience, drive towards Taytay, Rizal. It’s a few kilometers away from Metro Manila but it’s worth the travel. Currently, the place offers kayaking and zip lining, among other fun activities that can be done in the resort. It’s also worth mentioning that some swimming pools there have machine-generated waves. So if your kids would like to enjoy the beach waves but can’t find time to go to a real beach, take them to CME!

Another kiddie-friendly place that allows kids to enjoy fish feeding, boat riding, and wakeboarding is Nuvali in Laguna. And for the little ones, feeding and seeing a thousand of Koi fish at the fish feeding area is going to be a great experience too. =)

If you would like to get some fresh air with the kids before the next school year starts, you will surely love the refreshing breeze in the area. Your bigger kids might enjoy pitching tent at the camping area there while you have your spa treatment. =)
