A Tasteful Date with Amanda Griffin-Jacob

Last Monday, Amanda Griffin-Jacob left a note on Shining Mom’s Facebook wall . She was inviting me to an exclusive Mommy Bloggers’ Lunch for her new show, “Amanda, Loving Life”. I replied immediately. Then and then, my excitement started to mount.  What a great invitation from the woman who has one of the most refreshing faces on TV and magazines to start off my week!
 

Back when I was younger, I used to watch her on TV a lot. I have always loved her smile, that Amanda Griffin Smile which is effortlessly pretty and sexy. I have also loved her spontaneity and eloquence every time she speaks. Remember watching her as the MTV VJ for Channel V?

So when I finally met her yesterday, I was very glad. She is still that pretty face I knew but has transformed from being an IT girl to a woman who has fully embraced motherhood. She is now a hands-on mom to two-year-old Kieran and currently expecting  her second boy!

Yes, the exceedingly charming, preggy mommy Amanda Griffin- Jacob is back and she’s back with a new show and she’s definitely Loving Life! 

We had a very casual lunch at Aria Cusina Italia Restaurant, Bonifacio High Street along with a few other mommy bloggers. I finally met my favorite blogger Martine of Dainty Mom who has inspired me in many ways to “prettify” motherhood.

Amanda said she just wanted to introduce her show and get some ideas from mommy bloggers like us as to what topics mommies might love to see on air. Homeschooling and some tips for work at home moms (WAHM) were mentioned. Then we started talking about losing weight. 🙂

Amanda Loving Life is a new lifestyle talk show that tackles the daily life of a young, urban mother. It’s a high-end locally produced lifestyle show for today’s moms. We were shown snippets of the show and it is indeed a colorful and fast-paced program.  Watching it is pretty much like browsing a colorful lifestyle magazine with loads of useful information.
