I was invited to an event for naturalista moms, the ASCOF Naturalista Moms Garden Affair held at The Earth Kitchen along White Plains Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City last Friday, March 28, 2014. Being a natural mom myself, I can proudly say that I belong with the crowd. Yes, I am an advocate of anything natural and healthy in my own little way right in our own home!
It was an affair where moms shared moments of motherhood, and their tips and tricks on how they make their kids eat natural and healthy such as fruits and vegetables. It was also an avenue for moms to learn more about ASCOF, the natural and safe remedy for cough.
Being a naturalista mom myself , I was happy to know at the event that the natural medicine my own mom gave me when I was a kid, the lagundi leaves (which they she would patiently chop and boil back then), is now readily available in capsules and syrup. Pascual Laboratories (PascualLab) took advantage of lagundi’s healing properties and came up with ASCOF, a natural and organic remedy for cough that dissolves phlegm the safe and natural way .
Isn’t it that we, “lista” moms, always want to make sure that our kids get the most effective remedy as immediately as possible? We are always quick and proactive, and we do look out for possible side effects of the medicines our kids intake. Finally, this medicine for cough is guaranteed safe. Now I can instantly give ASCOF to my son whenever he gets sick without worrying because since it is natural and organic. Read: it has no side effects.
Yes, ASCOF is made from natural and organic lagundi leaves. Similar to the lagundi plants we used to grow in our own backyard, ASCOF lagundi is free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and is grown in quality farms. It contains the natural healing power of the Vitex negundo leaf, which has long been proven to help get rid of cough.
Celebrity naturalista mom Carmina Villaroel, together with her beautiful twins Cassy and Mavy, graced the event. (Just a trivia: the twins are students from my previous workplace that is why we know each other and I know how well-raised they are!) At the event, Mommy Mina shared her life as a mom, and her choices when it comes to her family’s health which we all enthusiastically listened to.
The twins were also interviewed. Since they are growing kids, Mavy was asked how he sees being kissed by his mom in public. “I don’t mind being kissed by my mom in public.” He said. When asked why, he reasoned, “He’s my mom!” (And that melted my heart. Kyle, as you grow bigger, and bigger take kuya Mavy’s advise. Never be ashamed to kis mom, Okay)! Cassy, on the other hand, shared how “praning” or paranoid her mom is… “In a nice way of course!” She said Carmina would constantly check on them, to make sure that they’re Okay. Oh I love Mina! So hands-on in spite of her busy schedule!
Carmina shared that just like ASCOF, her family is natural (what you see is what you get). We see them happy together on screen because they are truly happy as a family! The Legazpis also mentioned using ASCOF whenever needed because it’s safe and natural. Cassy loves the original flavor of ASCOF!
This award winning herbal medicine endorsed by the family won a Siver Medal at the 25th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland. It has three-way alis ubo action that puts an end to mild to moderate cough. First, it dissolves phlegm and then next, it loosens the air passage and prevents allergic reactions and finally, it brings comfort the safe and natural way.
Mommy Mina also shared how she raises healthy kids that eat healthy (yes, her twins Cassy and Mavy love fruits and veggies just like their mom!). She mentioned that she started giving them vegetables at a young age, that is why they are up growing liking the greens.
Just like Carmina, I also train my Kyle to eat healthy and natural food, the boy loves fruits and some vegetables! The happy part? Kyle’s love for fruits made us win a basket of more fruits!
During the event, there was an Instagram contest that asked us to post any picture with this hashtag: #NaturalistaMom. When I took this photo of Kyle eating his SECOND plate of fruits, we won! Haha
At the event, we also enjoyed the arts and craft activity they prepared for the kids. (The boy and I made a simple bracelet!) There was also a booth showcasing different herbal plants. We also loved the all-healthy dishes served. It was indeed a wonderful, wonderful afternoon with the naturalista moms.
Meanwhile, here’s the latest TV Commercial of ASCOF.
I am one happy mom to to have attended the ASCOF Garden Affair. Now, I need not worry whenever my kid catches cough triggered by allergens or other inflammatory agents as I now know a healthier and safer option. Thank you, ASCOF Lagundi. =)
