I’ll let you on in my secret dream: If I would ever own a vacation home, I would love to have it in Tagaytay. Who wouldn’t want a residence overlooking the charming views of the breathtaking Taal Lake and Volcano while enjoying the refreshing Tagaytay breeze?
Call me lucky because a few days ago, I joined a tour sponsored by Avida Land and guess what, we’ve been walked through to their first ever vacation home development in Tagaytay, the soon-to-rise Asilo Tagaytay which offers a unique country yet contemporary style living. Yup, I felt like I’ve been toured to my dream vacation home!!
Together with fellow bloggers and Nuffies, we went to see the model units of Asilo in Alabang and the actual site in Tagaytay. And not only that, we had several minutes to relax and appreciate nature’s beauty over Nurture Village Spa. I’m excited to tell you more about the tour, so let’s go off to our one-day adventure.
Discovering “Asilo”
Asilo, they say, is derived from the Tagalog word “silong” which means to take shelter. Asilo Tagaytay is a mixed-use, integrated residential development that also allows one to enjoy the scenic Taal Volcano and Lake. It has two mid-rise residential towers and a low-rise building. Here’s how the community will look like.
My dream to own an Asilo home grew fonder the moment I saw their furnished model rooms. They’re designed to be bigger than the usual units here in Manila. I’m truly loving the interiors! Get ready for some home inspiration!
This is how you can furnish your one-bedroom unit. Mental note: Mirrors all over the walls can make the place look big!
Now on to my dream vacation home: the two- bedroom unit.
I love the interiors! It’s looks spacious as you can see!
Here are the bedrooms, perfect for a family, agree? My son will love that kiddie room and my husband and I will enjoy the scenic view by the window!
Let me add quickly that this property is conveniently located close to the crossroads of the Tagaytay National Highway and the Aguinaldo Highway.
If you’re interested to own an Asilo condominium in Tagaytay, here’s the price list of the units:
Studio (22-30 sq.m.) – Php2.0M – Php2.5M
1 Bedroom (40 sq.m.) – Php4.2M – Php4.6M
2 Bedroom (60 sq.m.) – Php6.4M – Php7.5M
Preserving the Tagaytay Countryside Feel
Tagaytay has always been my family’s escape from the crowded Manila life. We have spent a few weekends in Tagayta as a breather from the busy city. I’ve attended four weddings in the area too. Why do we keep going back? It could be because of the “homey” country feel, I must say.
To blend with the countryside setting, Avida land made sure that the design of Asilo complements well with nature. And to keep the refreshing climate of Tagaytay, they made sure that corridors will have breezeways and ample space between buildings to ensure proper ventilation. There are more balconies too for the residents to enjoy the view!
Rustic and yet contemporary. That’s how one can perfectly describe the feel of Asilo. The developer said that the architectural design, materials, finishing, and the landscaping are designed to be more reflective and reminiscent of the old Tagaytay.
The Developer’s Promise
Avida Land, the affordable housing arm of Ayala land, aims to build “dream” shelters that enhance the quality of family life. All Avida condominiums fulfill the 5 condo must-haves:
1. Free-flowing air and sunlight.2. Fewer units per floor3. Sensible amenities4. Emergency power even inside your unit5. Easy payment terms
Amenities and Retail Area
The amenities are also designed to blend in harmoniously with the natural landscape. The retail area will be very different from the usual malls as it will showcase local products of Tagaytay.
Side Trip: Bloggers’ Escape to Wellness
After our Asilo tour, we had lunch at Baguio Beans and a restful side trip to Nurture Village Spa. My fellow bloggers and I savoured the refreshing breeze and the spa treatment. As I’m writing this out on my laptop, I can still vividly remember the rejuvenating spa that I had!

I can go on and on with pictures but this post is getting long already. Having quiet moments at Nurture Village Spa and being walked through to the soon-to-rise retreat home, the Asilo Tagaytay, was indeed a sweet escape for a day.
