I have pictures of Kyle running, smiling, crying, laughing, jumping, swimming, frowning… and my long list will go on and on. But if you’ll ask me for a family picture, I will tell you that we only have a few.
In short, we do not have enough family pictures. And I am still currently teaching manang to use our camera.
I thought that it would be lovely to see our family portrait hanging on our bedroom wall. And since I wanted to have that professionally-taken look, I have finally decided to have a studio picture. We have tried two: Mrs. Pixels and Blow Up Full Production Photography.
Our Blow Up Full Photography Experience
Our first shoot by Blow Up was taken during an event hosted by One Hyundai Club, the Picture Perfect. We had a great experience. The photography team was very friendly. We were laughing all through out the shoot! My son was very comfortable with them and so taking his picture was easy.

Last Saturday, we went to their studio at Serendra to have another shoot scheduled but they were fully booked that day. The said we had to wait for 3 hours, but my schedule did not permit us.
Each photo session in Blow Up includes one-hour in the studio, three different changes of set-up / costume, and unlimited shots for each set-up.
When you are a member, you get FREE Photo Sessions for a year! For Non-Members, there is a P500 fee for 1-hour studio use for a maximum of 10 people. There is an additional P250 per head in excess thereof. This does not include printing, for the printing rates, please contact Blow Up Full Production Photography at the details specified below.

Posing Behind Mrs. Pixels’ Lenses
Just like at Blow Up Full Production Photography, there is no need for you to bring your kid’s costume for the photo shoot– Mrs. Pixels have a rack for you to choose from. Kyle didn’t wear a costume during our shoot because I just wanted a mommy and child photo that looks natural and relaxed. I chose black for our background so that my little boy and I will standout. The shoot was blissful. The lady photographer was very professional, but a little stiff. My son did not smile at all during the first few shots. But when she handed a ball to Kyle, my little boy started to flash his dimples! 🙂
We were asked to go back after an hour to choose the photo to be printed. And after choosing, I was told that the photo will be emailed to me after three days and that we will be getting the printed copy after a week.
I was a little upset when I have received the emailed photo to be printed. It was cropped tight. And the little favor I asked them to be Photoshopped was not granted– that is to remove my brassier line. I emailed them and politely expressed my disappointment and immediately, they responded and sent back the edited image. I love the new one they sent me! 🙂
