Excited for the Coming Days

We’ve changed plans. For the two past years, we’ve celebrate our Christmas with my parents and our New Year’s eve with Alex’s. This year, we can’t travel to the province because Alex has work to finish here. I am a little sad because we will be missing our parents, but then again I am also looking forward to  my being a full-time mom and homemaker for the coming days.  Yes, we are staying at our little “home” in the city. And it’s our first Christmas with just the three of us.

Since Christmas is the season for thanksgiving, Kyle’s “ate” is going to have two-week paid vacation along with her bonuses and noche buena package. She has looked after the little boy very well for the past three years, and so each year, we make sure to give her a well-deserved break during summer and of course, Christmas. She is a mother herself so I know how it is like to spend Christmas with her very own family. This goes to say that I will officially be The full-time hands-on mom for the next two weeks. Good thing I am off from work too. 😉

Spending the holidays with our little darling is awesome!

I have already planned some activities for the little boy: hand painting, poinsettia making, coloring, reading, planting, singing and even acting.haha. I have also scheduled our grocery shopping and mini-educational trips at a museum in Meralco (I will still have to check if they’re open) and Avilon zoo. 🙂

We’re not yet sure if we will welcome the year here at home too, or if we are going somewhere near, but meantime, I will savor our just-the-three-of-us moment.

I will not be on blogcation since I will squeeze in typing in between  Kyle’s naps to get recharged for my busy and happy mommy days.
