If you’re loving the free 2018 planners that I have previously shared, I am pretty sure you are again going to enjoy this free budget template binder that I have for you. This binder holds worksheets that will help keep your finances i n order.
While I am not a financial professional, the budgeting system that I am sharing is something that has worked for my family. I hope it’s going to work amazingly with yours, too!
How To Use This Free Budget Template Binder
Using this planner is pretty easy. Here are some quick tips on how you can make this budget binder work for you. I hope it will bless you immensely!
1. Set your financial goals.
The very first thing that you will have to do is to figure out what you want to achieve. Isn’t it that when you know what you want, you will find ways to get there? In this budget template binder, you will love the first pages included ibecause they will help you identify your financial goals.
So friends, what are you waiting for? Now is the time to set your financial goals. Remember, don’t be afraid to write big goals. I just love this line about goal-setting that I came across with:
“Set a goal so big that you can’t achieve it until you grow into the person who can.”
What are your financial goals this year? After 5 years? Write them down. Writing down your goals increases the chance of achieving them. The, after writing your goals, set a time frame and plan out the measurable details of your action plans so you can achieve your goals one step at a time.
2. Keep track of your expenses.
The next thing to do is keep track of your recurring expenses and monthly expenses. Recurring expenses includes loan payments, utility bills, tuition fees, subscription services and more. Monthly expenses, on the other hand, includes the purchases you make all through the month such as groceries, household expenses, allowances and clothing. It’s important to keep track your expenses so you can later identify your financial leaks, cut them down, and finally set your budget.
Knowing where your money goes can help you budget your finances and will help you identify how much you can potentially and actually SAVE and INVEST.
3. Set your monthly budget.
Now that you’ve already identified your expenses, you’re finally ready to set your monthly budget. Set a fixed amount for particular needs and wants so you don’t go over the budget. Allot some amount for your personal and family leisure, too. Setting a fixed amount for household needs, travel expenses, allowances and more will help you manage your finances better.
4. Share, save and invest your money!
Lastly, set aside an amount to share, save and invest! There’s nothing more fulfilling than sharing your blessings to others and seeing your money grow as well!
