Free Printable School at Home Planner
This School at Home Planner includes 20 printable pages that you can use while ‘homeschooling’ your child. It’s cute and colorful, and it’s the kind of fun planner that kids will love.
Here are some of the things that you can do with this planner:
1. Create a Vision Board
Before you start organizing your schedule, you will have to set your school-at-home vision first. This planner can help you do that.
To get started, invite your child to sit with you and talk about how schooling at home is going to look like. Have your child draw or stick pictures onto this board. You may also use the following prompts together when creating your vision board:
- How does schooling from home to look like?
- Other than your daily lessons, what other activities do you want to do?
Once you have your school-at-home vision in place, you have a more definite direction on how you are going to run your homeschooling.
2. Plan Your School-at-Home Schedule
When creating your child’s school-at-home schedule, setting a routine is very important. When kids know what they’re supposed to do, they develop self-discipline, and they tend to perform better.
This planner works great in mapping out your kid’s daily schedule at home. But remember, schooling at home is very different from school set-up. Don’t try to copy your child’s regular school schedule at home.
You don’t need the whole day to sit and teach your child. Teachers in class handle more students; hence there are more distractions. An hour or two of sitting down with our child is enough to teach a lesson. The remaining hours in a day can be used for creative learning, family time, and playing. This quarantine period, focus on supplementing the school’s lessons with fun, play-based educational activities, and she will do great!
This free printable School at Home Planner includes various templates that can help you organize your routines and schedules while schooling at home. Below is a sample schedule that you can adapt to. You may also create your own using the blank schedule templates that I have included in the planner.
2. Build an Idea Bank of Games and Creative Learning Activities
This free printable Stay at Home Planner also includes several organizers where you can jot down your creative learning ideas for your child while plotting out schedules to do them. PLan out a craft afternoon, an Uno Stacko tournament, a movie night scheduled, and more! You can do so many enjoyable activities while learning from home!
