Giveaway: My Ways to Spark My Kid’s Multiple Intelligence (Share yours, too!)

Do you agree that focusing on only one dimension of child’s development is not enough? What do you do to inspire your child to pursue his passion, to give him the opportunity to excel in more fields than one?

We have heard about the theory of Multiple Intelligence, that our children’s intelligence is multi-faceted: some have the skill to deal with other people, while some would exhibit excellence in athletics and sports. Then there are those who excel in academics and the likes. But, to give our children the edge, they have to be well-rounded.

I guess you could say that I am one of those moms who embrace the multiple-intelligence approach in raising my child. I dream to nurture my preschooler Kyle (and our soon-to-arrive little darling) to grow up holistically. Yup, I want my children to be brain-smart, body-smart and of course, people-smart, I’m sure you, too!

So what do I do to spark my kid’s multiple intelligence?

They say that the success of our children hinges on the many doors we open for them.  To help Kyle succeed academically, I help him develop good study habits. I train him to regularly study and do his homework. I also make sure that we have enough books at home and that we provide his learning needs. I support his studies all the way!

And to inspire him to discover and pursue his passions, I try to give him different activities–both structured and unstructured (he is always given “free time” because I believe kids need a breather, too, so they could make up their own games and be creative!).

And since I want Kyle to grow up with lots of friends, we model sharing and caring for others at home. We also instill the value kindness so gets inspired to be kind as well. See? The momma here doesn’t just target good grades; she also dreams for her child to grow strong, creative, confident, friendly and kind!

To be people smart, I encourage Kyle  to share his toys with  friends. #IChooseMultipleIntelligence

Multiple Intelligence Supported by Proper Nutrition

Well of course, proper nutrition is necessary for our child’s growth and development, hence I try to give my son a wide variety of nutritious foods from all the different food groups such beans, fish, eggs, bread, nuts and fruits and vegetables. Did you know that a plate which contains different colors of fruits and vegetables usually provide different nutrients? This is why, I try to put in as much color as I can on my child’s his plate, too!

Aside from serving nutritious meals to our children, milk, such as  Progress Pre-School GOLD, is also important as it further supports their development. Progress Pre-School GOLD has GOLD Biofactors System with higher levels of DHA, Choline and Lutein, the essential nutrients to help give our children the edge with Multiple Intelligence.

Its a little bit late but I’m going to comment.
As a parent I develop her multiple intelligence by giving them educational toys, I let her them to watch educational program I’ll buy different kinds of books I enroll her to enrichment classes. We read books together and explore topics and talk about them at an age-appropriate level I encourage her to discuss books she has read with me and be patient with his questioning as he may ask over and over again. I enroll her in dance classes, ballet dance even in free workshop. We play different kind of board games like puzzle, chess, scrable. I provide her opportunities to paint, color, design.I challenge her creativity and encourage her to design building or clothing.I teach her to build paper airplanes create origami, or the knitting. I help her set goals and encourage independent project. I take her to science museums, exhibits and zoos.
And finally I give her nutritious food and give her Progress Pre- School GOLD to help her to develop MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE!
