Well, I always find going back to basics helps when things get out of order. Basics like the use of simple planners. This little project of mine, the printable weekly meal planner set, has already saved me much sanity and time. I hope it’ll help you organize your kitchen, too!
My Meal Planner Story
Since I used to go to work every day, before I leave home, I would instruct our helper what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did this almost every single day. And in times that I would miss giving instructions because I would be late or was super busy, I would expect to receive a text message or a call from her asking what to prepare. When cramped with work, calls like those could freak me out. “Why can’t she decide? We have fresh meat and vegetables in the fridge!” My fault, I know. Hence, I’ve learned to go back to the basics: writing down our menu for the week! My old meal planner was the simplest of all– handwritten, full of erasures, but at least they served the purpose and saved my time and sanity.
Some weeks ago, I finally created my family’s meal planner (which I am sharing with you). I created it the way I like it to be: colorful. I purposely created it with vibrant colors with hearts because a filling, hearty meal will warm a family’s heart, isn’t it? =)
These are our weekly meal planners. They live on the doors of our fridge. They’re bright. They have big spaces to write on. And I love them all.
