It was our fourth year wedding anniversary last Saturday. It’s funny that the occasion almost slipped in my mind. We only had 4 days left when I realized that our dearest June 8 was to fall the following weekend! There were so many things on my hands that week: lesson planning, decorating my homeroom, and doing my mommy chores at home… but no excuses, right? I can’t imagine how we would feel if Alex and I completely forgot our ANNIVERSARY!
Our Saturday was spent quietly at home. Alex went to his office for a few hours, went back home, watched a movie with me and Kyle, and then enjoyed the simple dinner I prepared for them. Our celebration came the next day.
We went to Crowne Plaza and had a feast at 7 Corners Restaurant early in the morning for breakfast. And since we planned to go to the Republic Wakepark Nuvali for wakeboarding, I told Alex to invite his friend who is going back to India soon, but was never been out of the town yet. So our anniversary celebration was not the usual just-you-and-me, it was more of the more, the merrier. Our son Kyle was also there to celebrate with us.
My husband had some photo opportunities with the boy in Crowne Plaza right after breakfast, and I had my share at Nuvali, too. So who took better pictures?haha. =)
Going back to our breakfast, ang kulit ni Kyle. He was pretending to be a puppy while eating donuts. He was also making faces! Pavan was laughing at his antics!
After breakfast, we went straight to Nuvali. The kid enjoyed the boat ride and fish feeding; but he wasn’t that happy at Republic Wakepark because he really wanted to try wakeboarding but he was not allowed.
After our Nuvali trip, we went straight to an Indian Restaurant at The Podium for dinner to honour our guest. I was a bit apprehensive that my child wouldn’t eat any at the Bombay Restaurant, but I am glad he liked the chicken curry. Pavan insisted to pay the bill!
MY CURRENT STATUS:
Before the night ended, Alex and I had some quiet time together. We reminisced our wedding. All the spoofs we remembered made us end the day with a good laugh. Indeed, although the day was almost forgotten, it was and will never be valued less.
How about you? Have you also almost forgotten an important occasion?
Mag-isa ko lang yata na nakakalimot! =)
