I added a little sparkle to Kyle’s birthday celebration by putting on some DIY party details. This entry is a continuation of of my previous blog post, “ “A Kite Party to Celebrate Kyle’s 3rd Birthday!””.

Color FULL Buntings
Over the past months, I have observed a beautiful trend in the party world—more and more moms are using buntings as party decors, hence, I decided to go with the flow! For Kyle’s party, I used crepe papers and I chose the colors blue, pink, and orange because they blend well together. I also printed out mini kites. Click here for the detailed guide on how to make a paper buntings for your kid’s party too. 🙂

Name That Kite
I bought some scrapbook papers at National Bookstore to use in making the decorative kites. Since the board papers are already square-shaped, I just added tails to make them look like kites. Using KG Stawberry Lemonade font on the computer, I printed out Kyle’s name and pasted it over the kite. They turned out to be OK, but how I wish to have used a darker shade of blue so my son’s name would be more visible on pictures!
I am a Guest!
Using Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 program, I personalized the name tags for Kyle’s birthday. The kids were very happy to see their names on paper. Since there were instant guests, I made sure I had blank sheets. J

Welcome to Kyle’s Party!
Just to set the party mood, I’ve created a party signages. Using the very same font I used for printing my son’s name on the kite, I printed party signs at the entrance that say: “ Kyle’s party is here!” and “This way to games, treats, fun!” The decorative paper used was purchased at National Bookstore. Visit this site for some inspiration on creating a party signage.

Cups and Mats
I downloaded the kite picture here and printed it on a letter-size paper to use as place mats. I’ve also printed some on sticker papers to adorn the cups.

That’s My Loot!
As mentioned on the part 1 of this post, these giveaways were labeled by my mom. Again, I bought these eco bags at National Bookstore. 🙂
A party is never complete without a candy table. Here is my mini set-up! This was a hit at the party. J

Let’s Fly a Kite
Since it was a kite themed birthday, I bought some kites for the kids to fly. I’m glad it was quite windy that day.
