What is the perfect Noche Buena?

Way back when I was a kid, I would spontaneously answer you this: The perfect Noche Buena is a feast filled with yummy dishes that is shared with all the members of my family!!

Even so when I was still a little girl, Christmastime was already my favorite. Aside from the delicious treats, the songs of cheer that fill the air, and the Barbie dolls I received, it was the most awaited season of my year as my parents would come home from their schooling abroad to celebrate with us. Yes, Noche Buena has always been a big deal for the family. It has always been a special time that we dine together while we wait for midnight to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Now that I have a family of my own, I carry on this tradition: that Noche Buena time is always a special time for the family to bond. I’m so happy that we will again be complete this New Year’s Eve… with a bonus, we will we be celebrating with the entire clan as we are organizing a reunion at my parents’ home!. Sakto! Lady’s Choice sent over a macaroni salad gift pack, I already have one dish to contribute for everyone to enjoy!

Just like my family, I know we all wish our families to reunite over the coming holidays… unfortunately, not everyone of us will have the opportunity to spend the Noche Buena together as most of Filipino families have at least a relative working during the Christmas Eve.

This is why, Christmas comes in advance with some of these Filipino families who can’t come together this New Year’s Eve as Lady’s Choice helped these families organize a little surprise for their loved ones who can’t be with them during the special family moment: a Noche Buena in advance. Just like all of us, Lady’s Choice also believes that it is better when families come together.

Lady’s Choice presents: The Advanced Noche Buena

Yes, this year, Christmas comes early as Lady’s Choice brings the gift of togetherness to the De Velez Family, the Delfin Family, and the Valtiendas Family, three of the many Filipino families who can’t spend Noche Buena together.

Lady’s Choice, the brand being an advocate of food prepared by moms with the help of the whole family (and also stands for being “real” not only about the 100% real ingredients it contains but the real moments of love it values), helped organize
a delicious feast for these families. Well of course, Noche Buena staples like Macaroni Salad were present in the feast. Houses were also decorated in Christmas themes to make the celebration complete. The making of the celebration and the actual advanced Noche Buena surprise was captured in a video.

The video shows the story of each of these featured families: The De Velez family shared how they’ve never spent Noche Buena together because for the past six years, the father, Zandro has been working as a chef onboard a cruise ship. While in the Delfin household, they’ve reluctantly accepted that Christmas meant that they won’t be complete as a family because Leslie Mae, the oldest daughter, is an

on-call nurse who is required to work regardless of the occasion. For the Valtiendas family, Emma shared that for years, she and her husband Julio, who was based in Bahrain, were forced to spend Noche Buena away from each other. And although Julio is in the country this year, he started working in the night shift which meant that he will miss Noche Buena with his wife and three daughters again.

Truly, nothing compares to being with the family especially during important moments like the Noche Buena because it is them that that make any celebration special. Mas masarap talaga ‘pag magkakasama! =)
