It’s Christmastime again. How I love this time of the year! Amidst all the busyness and crazyness the season brings, it’s still my favorite time of the year. I have a soft spot for Christmas and all it’s festivities.
But there’s one thing that I always ready myself with once December strikes in: the cold breeze.
You may already know by now that Christmas for my family is spent in the province at my parents’ lovely home, where December weather can be truly chilly. It’s located at the foot of the Siera Madre mountains so you can imagine how cold it can get there! While I love the cold breeze, my kids’ skin easily gets dry and irritated, especially the little one. Of course, dry skin shouldn’t hinder the Christmas fun. This is why, I always make sure that I am ready for the holiday weather, wherever we may be.
Dealing with My Baby’s Sensitive Skin
We haven’t gone home to the province for holidays yet but Christmas festivity has quietly already started with my little family.
On the first day of December, we flew to Hong Kong for a quick 4-day adventure. I wanted my boys to see the dazzling Christmas lights in Disneyland plus the amazing view at Ocean Park to jumpstart the Christmas season. As expected,Trey’s skin got so dry because of the chilly weather in Hong Kong.
While the kids had so much fun there, Trey’s sensitive skin started to coarse and itchy! Good thing I packed with us a dependable and gentle cleanser, the Babyflo Soap-Free Bath®.
For Trey, I always go for safe and gentle products. I am actually keeping a shortlist of what to use (and what not to use) in my planner. I am pretty sure you’re just like me who can be so meticulous with anything that touches your precious baby!
Babyflo Soap-Free Bath® is actually a new discovery of mine. It’s a mild and paraben-free cleanser. Just like you, I am especially keen when it comes to bath cleansers for my kids and I am happy to share that Babyflo® Bath passed my standards with flying colors! I also like that it isn’t as expensive as other mild cleansers available in stores.
Babyflo Soap-Free Bath® has no bubbles and no fragrance but still remains to be an effective mild and gentle cleanser. This is because all possible ingredients that could irritate baby’s delicate and sensitive skin were removed. I really don’t go for extra lather cleansers because they have additional chemicals in them. I like my baby’s cleanser to be mild and gentle, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic for my boy’s sensitive skin.
So on our first day at Hong Kong, after noticing Trey’s cracked skin, I only used Babyflo Soap-Free Bath® to make sure his skin won’t get irritated. After his bath, I immediately saw the relief from dryness.
Making Bath Time, A Fun Time
Trey’s bath is also more than just getting him clean. It’s also a daily activity that we try to keep fun. While using a good cleanser and keeping the bath area safe are my priorities, I also make sure to add a little excite mt during his bath time. Here are some of our simple ways to add some giggles which you, too, can try over the holidays:
Bath Time as Play Time with Kuya
My two boys are in this stage of loving their bath time together. So in times that kuya has no school, I let him enjoy bath time with his baby brother. I know this stage won’t last long hence I allow them to savor this moment for a great bonding! They will have more time to do this come Christmas break!
Bath Time as Time to Bathe Toys
While I give Trey a bath, he loves to bathe his toys, too. It’s also the perfect time for me to teach new words such as “float” and “splash” as we kid around.
Bath Time as Singing Time
Singing any familiar song while giving my baby a bath always adds smiles and giggle! My little one enjoys doing this with me, how about you? You can teach your kids some Christmas songs, too!
Nourish Baby’s Sensitive Skin with Babyflo Soap-Free Bath®
While making sure that bath time is a fun time, it’s also important to make sure that your baby’s sensitive skin is nourished. Use mild cleansers like Babyflo Soap-Free Bath® that helps cleanse, soothe and softens baby’s skin without drying and irritating it, especially in this cold weather. You can know more about this great product here.
Moms, are you travelling with your baby over the holidays? If you’re going out of the country or in the province where the weather can be chilly to celebrate Christmas, pack along a Babyflo Soap-Free Bath® with you. It’s an effective mild and gentle cleanser that helps soothe dryness and irritation even in cold weather… so that even your little one can enjoy the holiday festivities, too!

Thank you for posting this. My daughter is not a baby anymore but sensitive skin is something we both struggle with. I will have to give this a try.
