Ever since I became a mom, I have set some self-imposed mommy rules:
- That I shall go home (wherever I am) the moment clock strikes at 10pm
- That I should (always) be the one to tuck my son in bed
- That I am in-charge of helping my son in doing his homework
- And my list will go on and on…
There are instances, however, that I break these rules. Just like recently when I spent the night at Dusit Thani Makati with my friends. Well, I told them that I’ll go home at 10pm but the hours we spent chatting was still not enough for the catch up. Our friend Faye just arrived from Japan and she still had exciting stories to share about her life as an English teacher there and Mikee was still not yet done telling us about her new business… how can I just leave those juicy stories! I decided to stay the night to be with them… to laugh some more. =)

As a mom, I am glad that I have a strong support from my fellow women, both from my mommy friends and still-single friends. I am rich with friends, I must say!haha. I have several groups: those who enrich me spiritually, those who support me in my mommyhood, and those who make me feel young and carefree. They’re the kind of friends that I can readily text or call when I am troubled or upset or when I am happy or just plain bored. They love me (well, that’s what I think) and I love them too. =)
