Palaui Isalnd in Sta. Ana Cagayan is no longer a secret paradise as more and more tourists now visit the place since the spread of the news naming it as one of the best islands in the world by CNN. But did you know that aside from the beautiful Island, Sta. Ana ( dubbed as the “Paradise of the North”) still has so many beautiful places to offer? Here are some destinations that you can include in your list when you go to Palaui Isaland.
Sinwangag Cove
Loving the underwater corals and fishes? Located at the northwestern part of Palaui Isaland, Sinwangag Cove, they say, is a must-see place for snorkeling in Sta. Ana. It’s a U-shaped white beach and it is a superb place for swimming.
Sinago Cove
Enjoy swimming day and night without the fear of being swiped away by the rough sea waves because Sinago Cove is settled right behind the twin mountains. Located in Barangay Patubungan, you can reach this “Hidden Paradise” after an hour of riding a motorboat. Insider tip: Between the months of March and July, you’ll experience the majestic view of the glorious sunrise in the area.
Anguib Beach
This is a 1.8 kilometer beach located at the Eastern part of San Vicente with alluring white sand and crystal blue water.
Gotan Beach
Adjacent to Anguib Beach, Gotan Beach, dubbed as the “Golden Beach” is a another must-see place. This beach has sparkling white sand and clear water.
Mapurao Beach
“Mapurao” is an Ilocano word which means “white”. Since this beach appears to be a “cotton-white haven”, it is certainly how it was named. Mapurao beach is located at the northeastern part of Barangay San Vicente.
Nangaramuan Beach
Wanting to see stunning rock formations, virgin forests and mountains while swimming in a white-sand beach? My family’s 4-hour stay at Nangaramuan was splendid! This beauty (located just adjacent to Anguib beach), is very accessible, and best of all, it already has accommodation facilities. Tip: Have a footwear (sandals) when you go swimming because the rough stones could hurt your feet!
