I’m on week 29th of my pregnancy right now. I’ve just entered the biggest and the roundest 3rd trimester, the final lap! Yaay!
I must say that I am one happy, preggo. All the challenges I had three months ago is only a blip in my memory today. I could even forget that I had surgery in this pregnancy if not with the long scar I see (across my entire belly, literally) because I feel no. pain. at. all. Yup, I have an awesome God! I used to think that the scar would bring so much inconvenience as the baby grows and the skin stretches but no! I feel like as if I never had a surgery!
Well, I could very well say that I’m getting really, really relaxed in this last leg of pregnancy. Everything is manageable; and I am savoring every bit of it because as my husband and I agreed, this is going to be my last pregnancy (my pregnancy is always high risk, that’s why!). Hence we are taking as much pictures of the beautiful bump as we can! And so during the Christmas holidays, I kinda had a mini maternity photo session with Alex when we visited the San Pablo church in Isabela, the ones I posted here. =)
According to What to Expect, a pregnancy app I’ve downloaded, the baby is now as big as a small cabbage (17 inches, 2.9 lbs) and yup, I am already starting to feel stronger kicks this week! (This explains why I am so awake this early, it’s 2 AM!) I am now doing the kick count twice per day– I should feel at least 10 movements in an hour. I am also talking to the little one more often now because they say babies can recognize their mom’s voice when born (Hello there, little darling!).
So there, my countdown to the arrival of our new baby has already started. Exactly 11 weeks to go ’till we’re finally able to caress the beautiful little one in our arms! The excitement is mounting!
