The other day, my little boy and I rushed to The Mind Museum (TMM) in Taguig City to attend the relaunching of the of the Mind Museum App. If you have a school kid just like me who is always curious on a lot of things, you might want to download this app as it will surely help you bring your kid closer to what animates The Mind Museum to quench his curiosity even if you don’t have the time to go there!
Yep, that’s right! This app gives everyone the opportunity to access the relevant and engaging educational content that TMM offers using the mobile and tablet technology. While being in the museum completes the fun learning experience, with the TMM app, you can also access the scientific learning inside and outside The Mind Museum right in your fingertips!
Amazingly, the TMM app allows users to see the over 250 museum exhibits at TMM anytime and anywhere, both online and offline once downloaded! We already have the app in our phones and we can clearly see these exhibits any time we like! We’ve been going to the museum since Kyle was little because he loves the place (I’ve blogged about one of our visits here) and happily, we can now see it more often through a virtual tour.
To give you a more detailed look at the features of the The Mind Museum app , I am running them down here:
- Exhibit Guide – This gives guests information on the museum’s over 250 hands on, minds on exhibits. This also allows you to plan your tour at the museum through the exhibit guide.
- QR Code Reader – This gives one-click access to further information about a museum exhibit.
- Mind Starters – This is especially created for the educators for lesson planning and as a guide for the museum visit. This feature gives specific questions for K-12.
- Learning Footpath – If you have a very limited time at the museum, this app will help you make the make the most of your visit.
- D-I-Y Experiments – This allows you access to the Mind Museum’s favorite experiments for you to do at home or in school.

My little boy trying the app inside TMM. This app also allows you to have themed, self-guided tours around the museum.
The Mind Museum App is a joint project of the The Mind Museum and Globe Telecom. It is the first educational museum app in the country with a promise to deliver a rich multimedia experience to anyone who downloads it. It is now available for free download on iTunes and Google Play!
