In less than a month from now, our little boy is going to be two years old. Oh how time flies! Soon he will officially be called a toddler! Before he turns two, let me reminisce his first birthday party in this post. I’ve realized, I’ve never really blogged about his party here on Shining Mom!
I was one nervous mom on the day of the party. On our way to the hotel, I crossed my fingers and wished that everything was going to be okay. I was the sole person who looked at every party detail since my husband was busy at work and I worried if all the suppliers I booked would make it the way I instructed!
When I arrived at the party venue few hours before the event, I was a bit disheartened. I was dissatisfied with the caterer because they didn’t follow the details as they were told (table setup, color of table-cloth etc). I had to call their manager over the phone to step in, gladly he was able to instruct the team to do the details as agreed upon.
Although I was kinda stressed with the caterer, I was very happy with our decor coordinator. She was professional and managed to do every single detail we talked about. Her team decorated the venue as planned. =)
I went to church after making sure that the venue was all-set since it was also Kyle’s baptism. My husband Alex and son Kyle along with some ninongs and ninangs were there waiting for me. Alex looked very excited. He just arrived from Palawan for work. When the baptism ceremony stared, I had goosebumps all over. The baptism ceremony was very solemn. In my heart, I have felt that moment marked my son’s first step of spiritual journey and so I was very thankful and happy.
After the baptism, we went straight to Malayan Plaza Hotel, the party venue. My husband Alex was thrilled upon seeing all the decors, party give-away and table set-up! He kept on thanking me all throughout the party! He said he didn’t know I was able to come up with such lovely party. And our son Kyle looked so excited with the setup!
For us, Kyle’s birthday celebration was a Thanksgiving Party for all the wonderful blessings our family has received. And we are forever grateful to those who celebrated with us. It was one joyous occasion that we will never forget. Kyle’s first birthday also marked our first year celebration as parents!
On to the pictures! =)
