I haven’t written for a little more than a week on this blog. It’s because of the pregnancy. I am experiencing persistent lightheadedness and frequent bouts of dizziness. I’ve seen my OB-GYN twice this week because of the difficulty. Glad that I feel better right now hence I am finally on my laptop, and hopeful that it progresses in the coming days so I could get back to work.
My OB said the feeling of lightheadedness is probably due to to my insufficient food and drink intake because right now, I have no appetite for anything! The mere thought of eating makes me feel sick! I dislike to eat and I throw up literally every after meal! My OB gave me more vitamins and hopefully, the baby gets enough nutrition. But although I don’t like any food intake, I try my very best to! There are some ways that I do each day (sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t) to battle morning sickness and my lack of appetite for food. Here they are, I hope they work for some pregnant mommies reading this post.
Simple Ways to Overcome Morning Sickness
- Eat smaller meals.
- Make homemade lemonade ice pops to eat whenever you feel like vomiting.
- Drink tea (advised by a friend).
- Drink plenty of ice-cold water.
- Avoid fatty foods.
- Eat fruits!
I wonder why some say that second pregnancy will be waay easier than the first! I can’t say the same right now! I would even like to think that this is more difficult! =(
I’m feeling lucky however because I have a very supportive and caring husband. He is spoiling me a bit these days and I am savoring it. He gives in to my little requests like my rare cravings for particular fruits and food. One morning, I told him I wanted a sumptuous breakfast because I am in the mood to eat and he took me and our kid to 7 Corners in Crowne Plaza for their buffet breakfast! Sadly, the only dish that I enjoyed that time was their grilled salmon!heeheee

I took this photo of the boy right after our breakfast at Crowne Plaza. He has grown bigger and bigger! We are now preparing his heart to be the “kuya” in the house!
Yesterday, I also sneaked out a bit. My first dinner date with friends ever since I’ve learned about this pregnancy. I couldn’t turn down the invitation because the circle only gets in full attendance whenever our friend Sally is back in the country! Feeling a bit nauseated, my kid and I went to Corazon’s in Shangri-la pPlaza to meet them. I was praying not to faint as dizziness was kicking in while we were walking in the mall!haha My husband was so worried when I told him I went out! =)
So this was my week in summary: I was in bed most of the time-feeling lightheaded or building LEGO with Kyle. Then, my impromptu dates with the beautiful people that surround me!
Praying for better health in the coming days!
