It’s a rainy Monday morning and I’ve received a text message from my colleagues that we have no work today. Even though I am worried about the flooding, I consider this a blessing as I have the entire day to cuddle my sick kid.
Although feverish, Kyle jumped out of bed with joy upon knowing that mom won’t be out for work. My Kyle has a lot to teach me about love and joy. Right now, little things like spending time with me, watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates on TV, looking closely at the marching ants near the door, and sipping his favorite chocolate milk drink bring him enormous happiness. It’s truly an eye-opener to see him finding love and delight in all these little things this early!
Kyle’s joy is so infectious and so here I am, sneaking a few minutes to blog to share my happiness. It’s so true that our life is filled with great things that surround us that will make us feel inspired and infused– we just need to spend a little time to notice them! What brings me joy right now? Seeing that smile with some chipped teeth showing. =)
I’ve read this quote before from an unknown author: It isn’t the big pleasures that count the most; it’s making a great deal out of the little ones.
Lovely Monday, mommies! Let’s all stay safe and warm. =) #feelingloved
