“Show me the wonder of Your great love… “
I was particularly touched by this beautiful line from Psalm 17:7 while reading a passage from Kristin Armstrong’s devotional book, “Heart of My Heart”. The reading is about expressing our love to others, by sending love notes to our friends, for example.
It was so nice to be reminded that God never fails to show His great love. He does always send us his “love letters” , we just have to take time to notice and “read” them. “Things like a certain smell, a certain song, a certain feeling.”
Where do I see God’s love?
I feel and see God’s love in these: My family’s laughter, the sparkle in my child’s eyes, my mama and papa’s voice over the phone, the sound of the waves in the beach, friends, chocolates, food on the table, fragrance of flowers. God’s love is indeed so apparent and so abundant, it’s everywhere! And isn’t it that we saw God’s love on the onset of tropical storm Maring? That we have homes protected and loved by God (flooded or not, we are blessed)!
Sharing an icing of His great love: During the heavy monsoon rains brought by the storm, I was so worried that our home will be flooded (you see, I live in Cainta where 80% of the community was flooded.) Flood was ThisClose to reach our home (if it rained harder at around 10am last Tuesday, we woudn’t have been spared.) You could have found us in the evacuation centers, too. You can imagine how worried I was seeing the flood just a few inches away from our doorsteps, I prayed and I was heard! We were spared. I rejoiced! Thank you mighty Lord!
It’s a beautiful Monday (the day being a holiday makes it all the more beautiful).
How can we also show the wonders of our great love today?
