When my firstborn Kyle was still a toddler, we were regulars of the Ark Avilon Zoo. Back then, the zoo was very near my workplace hence it was so accessible to visit. It was in that zoo where I introduced several animals to Kyle and it was there where his genuine care for the animals started. Now that we have another baby who’s in animal-loving stage, I think we will be visiting the place more often again.
Ark Avilon Zoo is the perfect zoo to take the younger kids. If you have little ones who are not yet ready to brave the heat of the outdoor zoos, you may want to visit this place first. It’s an indoor zoo which is conveniently located at Frontera Verde, Ortigas Avenue corner C-5, Pasig City.
Just like before, feeding the animals was our favorite part in every visit. Kyle loved feeding rabbits. This time though, I have two little boys who gamely enjoyed the activity.
I was touched seeing how Kyle talked about the place to his baby brother. How it looked liked before as he remembered, and what animals were there.
