If you have read my article for the #ParentingNerd website, then you may already know what makes the little Macalinao run in excitement towards our dining table whenever we dab a little creativity with his food- his cutely plated meals! As the kid is now enjoying his fruits and veggies all the more with this strategy, we’re doing food art more often at home these days.
Today on the blog, I’m listing down and sharing my favorite resources for food plating ideas. Note: This post could inspire to try out food plating, too!
I am a follower and a big fan of Ida Frosk on Instagram. Her IG account is a great tip-off point if you want to try out food art as you’ll find a myriad of beautifully-plated meals at her site.
My ultimate favorite blog for cute food plating is Mrs. Dubiens’ blog! Look at the photos of her awesome plates below, those two are just eye teasers… you’ll be wowed by several cutely plated meals that she prepares for her kids when you hop over her tastefully presented blog!
The food stylist Samantha Lee is now a name in the world of fun food plating for kids. She’s never out of fresh ideas in plating her daughters’ food at home. Do check out her Instagram and you’ll find fabulous plates!
This blog is also owned by Samantha Lee. Definitely a go-to site for artistically plated meals!
This plate seems so easy to do, isn’t it? The creative blogger Lisa Storms guest posted at www.kikikomin.com with this fabulous plate which is so apt for a summer snack!
I found several unique food plating ideas for kids in this website but I couldn’t follow the tutorial however as the website is not written in English. Nonetheless, it offers plenty of inspiration like this one!
Looking for a roundup of inspiration? The blog www.lilsugar.com posted a great list of food plating ideas. I found the photo I posted below from the roundup, created by Ida Frosk. Note: This is just a peek of what you’ll see on her long list!
I can go on and on but I have to stop here as it is getting late already (I’ll be adding more to this list very soon!). Meanwhile, stay tuned for the latest food plating creations served at the Macalinao’s kitchen next week! =)
