“I am not a super strict dad; I just know the importance of setting rules for my child—it gives him a sense of structure. I teach him what is wrong from right in black and white. If he does something good, I am the first person to applaud him; if he does something wrong, such as biting his ate, I would immediately hold his hand, firmly look at him, and say, “Don’t do that again.”
That’s my husband’s stand on disciplining our little one.
When it comes to disciplining Kyle, Mr. Mac and I have clear ground rules. He reprimands and gives minor consequences to his actions while I do the “processing”.
