Shining Mom’s New Look

How do you find the blog’s new look? Well, I’m loving it. I find it very pretty and sweet-looking, how about you? Thanks to Patricia of Fancy Girl Design Studio for making the blog more beautiful. =)

The blog’s new theme is inspired by Patricia’s previous works. I particularly fell in love with her calendar freebie last December and so I asked her to include the design elements found there, especially the glitz.

The design inspiration:

I also included in the inspiration board I sent her the suggested blog layout and the color palette to be used. For the overall feel, I simply wrote “feminine with a touch of glam.” And when she showed me this first draft of her second design, I was really enthused. Lovely!

The look before the finishing touches:

Really feminine. How I love those laces and flowers! I told Patricia how happy I am with the design. And then we worked on the final look which is what you are seeing now. =)

A short story after the installation of the new theme:

When Patricia told me that the new theme is up, I kind of felt like a stranger in my own blog when I logged in . I missed the blog’s old look. I missed my old theme which I painstakingly designed using the humble Microsoft Paint Program!haha. It was only after a few more days that I finally felt “home”, I just had some improvements but I am still home. 

I am now getting the hang of logging into the blog’s new look and it looks like I am inspired to write more often! I have big dreams for this small blog that is why I am setting clearer directions.

Patricia, if you get to read this, I’d like to thank you for the makeover. I am loving the design and it was really nice working with you.
