Despite the long to do list and the crazy holiday expenses that come with the season– Christmastime is still, without a doubt– the most special month of the year in my heart. I love Christmas celebrations of all sorts, whether it’s a class reunion, family gatherings or visiting an old friend. While I love all these celebrations that highlight the gift of family and friendship, there’s also one thing about Christmas that keeps me always excited and delighted: The Christmas decors.
One holiday tradition that I grew up with is having a home fully decked for Christmas. I remember that when I was a kid, when the first day of December strikes in, our home would transform into Christmas wonderland. Dancing lights are all over and even the curtains are in theme with the Holiday. And of course, days before Christmas eve, the decorations would come in full blast. Even the tiniest details such as the serviette are dressed for the season.
Well, up to these days, my mom would still go all out for Christmas. This time, it’s my kids who are thrilled the most to see what my mom has prepared. It has been a tradition that we all go home to the province to celebrate Christmas with my parents, their grandparents. My kids always look forward to that day, and as always, they are welcomed by Mama’s home all decked for the holidays.
Although we are always at my parents’ home in the province to celebrate the holidays, I also still try to decorate our little abode here in the city. It may not be as grand as Mama’s but it’s something that I lovingly do for my little family. I have a small Christmas tree and a Christmas wreath that my kids love. And happily, just just last week I discovered Sanicare Kitchen Towels with special Christmas prints! Yup, even my kitchen towels are now in holiday cheer!
The Liwanag Christmas Boxes
I am really enjoying the Sanicare facial tissues in specially designed boxes for Christmas. They come bright, cheerful and symbolic. They’re definitely great to use for the festivities ahead.
The special boxes are designed by Alex Eduque, the founder of MovEd. Alex used lanterns and stars in the design. He used parol because he believes it is a symbolic representation that lights up every Filipino home and star, because it serves as a constant reminder that we share the same sky and that each one of us has a light that shines brightly within.
Here are the lovely designs, all in Christmas cheer:
